About Us
When Medicine Isn't Enough
Supporting Israel's sick children and their families
Our Mission at Or Lacholeh
No Family Should Face Illness Alone.
Lifesaving. Strength. Compassion.
When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, an entire family’s world collapses. Parents are torn between hospital beds and home, bills pile up, and the pain becomes overwhelming.
That’s where we come in.
Because of donors like you, Or Lacholeh can provide hot meals, vouchers, household help, and moments of joy when families need it most.
Our Vision: Turning Struggle into Strength
We envision a world where families dealing with illness can rely on a network of support that keeps them strong, connected, and resilient. In our vision, children continue to laugh, dream, and find joy, even as they fight for their health.
Who We Are
What began with a few community members helping a couple of families, has grown into Israel’s lifeline for those facing serious illness.
Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to provide emotional, logistical, and financial support to families in crisis.
Where the healthcare system ends, Or Lacholeh begins, ensuring no family faces the trauma of illness alone.
The Children Behind Our Work
Eight-year-old Neoray battled leukemia with remarkable courage. His one wish was simple: a bicycle of his own. When we placed his hands on the handlebars, his eyes sparkled with joy.
This is why Or Lacholeh exists: to restore what illness steals – childhood, dignity, and hope.
Our Values in Action
Compassion in Every Moment
Or Lacholeh isn’t just about providing material support; it’s about offering love, understanding, and a human connection. We take the time to truly listen to each family’s needs and provide the support that makes a real difference in their lives.
Compassion:
When Sarah’s mother couldn’t afford food due to the medical bills, we delivered meals for weeks so she could focus on her daughter’s treatment.
Community:
David’s family felt isolated until our events & celebrations reminded them they weren’t alone.
Immediacy:
When the Goldsteins called needing emergency formula at midnight, we delivered it before sunrise.
Wholeness:
For Avigail’s Family, healing meant more than chemotherapy—it included meals, support, and meeting her favorite singer that lit up her world.

Be The Light That Guides Them Home
Every moment without support is too long. Right now, there’s a mother sitting beside a hospital bed, worried about her other children. A father who’s forced to choose between paying for medicine and rent. A child who feels forgotten as life moves on without them.
Your generosity brings them relief. Your kindness helps a child see they’re more than their diagnosis. You become the light that shows them they’re not alone.
